West Coast Assets – Brighton Outer

    Working Interest: 70%
    License Type: Joint Venture

Trinity acquired the PGB license in 2012 following the review of the seismic survey over Brighton Marine and an assessment that the play fairway may extend through the Gulf of Paria.

Trinity is currently producing from two wells and the licence also holds a heavy oil (16° API) discovery, ALM-22. The recent Jubilee discovery made by Petrotrin near the Cluster 6 platform, an estimated 48MMBbl field, further demonstrates the potential of the area.

In order to delineate the ALM-22 discovery, and identify future drilling locations, Trinity intends to acquire 3D seismic over the block.

West Coast Assets – Brighton Marine

    Working Interest: 100%
    License Type: Joint Venture

The Brighton Marine field was discovered in 1951 and was initially developed from long-reach wells deviated from eleven land batteries. Nine offshore platforms were later installed to access further undeveloped reserves.

The field was developed without seismic: in 2009, Trinity acquired 3D seismic over the whole block to complement a dataset from 1997 which has identified a number of infill drilling opportunities and well defined undrilled fault blocks. Certain of these fault blocks extend into the PGB licence. In total, 20 drilling locations have been identified with an initial development phase of 6 development wells.

East Coast Assets – Galeota A

The Galeota block is situated within the established oil play of the Columbus Basin in shallow waters off the south-east coast of Trinidad.

The Trintes field commenced production in 1972 and consists of five main reservoir zones ranging in depth from less than 150 metres to approximately 600 metres and has been developed over four fixed steel platforms.

Trinity intends to pursue an aggressive programme to revitalise the Trintes Field and grow production with a series of planned work-overs, side-tracks and the installation of modern artificial lift methods as well as certain infrastructure upgrades.

Additionally, the Galeota block has a number of undeveloped discoveries and exploration prospects. Trinity drilled the successful TGAL-1 exploration well on the Galeota license during 2014 which tested an updip extension of the producing Trintes field. Trinity is now reviewing development alternatives to bring this discovery into production.

    Pt. Lisas Industrial Estate

The Point Lisas Industrial Estate is a world-class facility, covering 860 hectares and represents an investment of over US $2 billion.

It is home to 94 companies, functioning as the heart of Trinidad & Tobago’s petrochemical sector with many multi-national production plants operating here. Ease of access to vast resources of natural gas has been a strong incentive for some of the world’s leading manufacturers of ammonia, urea, methanol, other petrochemicals and steel.

More information is available from the Point Lisas Industrial Port Development Corporation Limited (PLIPDECO).

    Pointe-a-Pierre Refinery

The Pointe-a-Pierre Refinery is Trinidad & Tobago’s only oil refinery. It is also the only refinery in the world to co-exist with a wildlife park, sharing its compound with the Pointe-a-Pierre Wildfowl Trust.

The refinery is located along the west coast of Trinidad, and has the capacity to process a wide variety of crude oil with varying gravity and sulphur specifications. This gives the Petroleum Company of Trinidad and Tobago (PETROTRIN) the ability to purchase crude oil from a range of suppliers.

More information is available from PETROTRIN.
