The incumbent is responsible for all maintenance related activities and will hold on for Operators on the Tank Farm and Offshore. This includes but not limited to (i) health, safety and welfare (ii) routine production maintenance activities (iii) timely coordination and execution of work ensuring minimal production downtime to ensure safe and efficient operations. The person will be guided by the Production Manager. Emphasis will be placed on HSSE, continuous improvement, teamwork, cost effectiveness, in accordance with Trinity Policies and procedures.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Maintenance:

  • Conducts maintenance work chipping, priming and painting of flowlines and associated valves and fittings throughout the facility.
  • Conducts minor pipe fitting work and repairs
  • Assists the mechanic in conducting routine maintenance and corrective work on all equipment.
  • Any other maintenance task as and when required

Tank Farm:

  • Gauges tanks to determine the quality/quantity of oil in storage before and after delivery, using calibrated steel tape and conversion
  • Sample storage tanks and producing wells, and ensure all information is logged and forwarded in a timely manner to the Tank Farm Supervisor
  • Conducts spin-off, gauge report and submit to Tank Farm Supervisor
  • Evaluates production anomalies for active wells and flag non-routine wells that requires analysis.
  • Enacts diagnostics for wells highlighted with production impairment/issues
  • Gauges, treats fluid with recommended chemicals, bleeds produced water to achieve required sales specifications and transfer to sales tank in preparation for fiscalisation
  • Ensures that monthly effluent sampling is conducted and the results are within regulatory compliance. Make recommendations for improvement, if needed
  • Assists with developing, improving and maintenance of all (wells, field and facilities) standard operating procedures and all HSSE requirements
  • Highlights/documents to Tank Farm Supervisor all changes to normal operating conditions
  • Implements all maintenance (valves, tanks, piping, pits, facilities, etc.) and housekeeping, painting required in the Facility
  • Closes out any deficiencies highlighted by all regulatory bodies and recommends areas for improvement.
    
    Ensures appropriate handover is conducted on all shift changes
  • Participates in drills and weekly tool box meetings
  • Responsible for all personnel and movement on/off the facility
  • Promotes a positive HSSE culture and make recommendations for improvement
  • Follows through the permit-to-work system and check that only authorized work is being carried out and that JSA’s have been conducted
  • Monitors and verifies that all safety equipment on location are inspected, certified and tested, report same if not in compliance
  • Takes three (3) level crude samples in storage tanks and test same to determine amount of bottom sediment, water and foreign materials using centrifugal tester
  • Starts pumps and opens valves to regulate flow of oil into and out of tanks, according to delivery schedules

Offshore:

  • Accountable for all personnel and movement on/off the facility
  • Participates in all meetings including crew changes and daily status meetings.
  • Manages, coordinates and documents all cargo leaving and coming unto the facility
  • Maintains and monitors proper well testing and optimization as per schedule
  • Evaluates production anomalies for active wells and flag non-routine wells that requires analysis.
  • Enacts diagnostics for wells highlighted with production impairment/issues
  • Liaises with other departments and coordinates operations
  • Collates data and submits daily reports
  • Monitors and assists with maintenance of all equipment such e.g. production equipment, generators, air compressors, etc. to ensure functionality
  • Competent/knowledgeable in and secondary oil recovery system including, ESPs, HDESPs and HDIs and PCP’s
  • Conducts well fluid sampling and analysis
  • Conducts housekeeping duties on facilities, and ensures accommodations are maintained and cleaned daily
  • Maintains inventory on equipment parts, and all related materials on the facility
  • Assists with improving and maintenance of all wells according to standard operating procedures and all HSSE requirements
  • Ensures appropriate handover is conducted on all shift changes
